Life didn’t turn out like I planned….wished I’d listened to someone besides my heart….
Love plays tricks on your mind…what was I thinking? Should have made a fresh start…
Two decades passed and happiness is a road not traveled…..miss my youth…miss my life…..
How does this happen to a loving wife?
Days are filled with emptiness….. and sadness is the air I breathe…..
Nights are filled with loneliness…. and misery is my bed…..
Wonder if the pain will fade….can’t be soon enough….lies overtake me…..
My mind wonders thru the depths of the hell I feel and constantly see….
Can’t see thru the darkness anymore…and pills don’t help
Only Love will help, but it’s thin and brittle…..like the rope I walk on every day….
Makeup can’t cover the pain….it washes away….
Like the decades of my life.

Emma's Favorites....

Although Christmas is almost here, Emma's birthday is around the corner.

Some birthday ideas.....

1. Rue 21 G.C.
2. Some tennis shoes she saw at Hibbett's.
3. ITunes G.C.

She is at a "hard to buy for" age now.
She likes what she likes and not what I like, so clothes are even hard for me.

Update

It's been a while so I thought I would type up a little update.
Not working has been both a blessing and a curse. I have so enjoyed being a mom and wife.
I have been to eat lunch with Emma four times....I've never been able to do that before.
I am home and able to cook for Geoff and try new recipes. I love that.

Emma has a boyfriend...a real one. His name is Austin Glass and he is so sweet! He is a ball boy for the LHS football team, so he's on the field when the games start. But at half time he would look for her in the stands and sit with us for the rest of the game. It was raining one game and he went to buy her a rain cover. He bought her a ring at the Santa shop and he gave her a necklace yesterday for Christmas. The funny thing is....the whole boyfriend/girlfriend thing consists of a few waves during the day, as they don't talk on the phone at all. So funny, but so sweet. I remember getting a necklace from a sweet boy in the 5th grade, but it embarrassed me so much. I think his name was Joey, not sure though. He moved and I never saw him again. I wish I still had that necklace.

Amy Gets Fired.......ahahahahah!

Sounds worse than it was. My poor boss cried. I actually felt worse for him than myself.
He called a meeting and asked me not to come in there because he might cry. He did fine even
with me in there. I can't not stay for an important meeting!!! They freed up 2 offices in the Vazda space which I'm sure they'll fill with Intermark employees. That will go over well!!!

I love everyone there. Thanks to Nick, Kristi, Todd and Randy for helping get out with all 8
years of stuff, except for my fridge and microwave. I'll be back for those.

Hey guys, if you need anyone's hair pulled out, just call me. I'm good at it!

Sophie Update.......

I took Sophie to Dr. Weber since she was still peeing blood after 2 weeks on an antibiotic.
She stayed all day and he sedated her to check her out. Turns out she just has a kidney
stone about the size of a grape that he showed me on an xray. He also showed me a bunch
of turds. Dr. Weber is kind of strange!! She will have surgery on Tuesday, Sept. 16 to
remove the stone. He said that she has some kind of bacteria that is causing them and
he sent a urine sample to AUBURN to see what kind of bacteria it is. Then he can treat her
with the correct antibiotic. So all is well except she tries to pee all the time and nothing comes
out. Poor girl. She is the sweetest dog. She gave everyone in the clinic hugs and kisses!

Sophie's Bad Day

Saturday evening someone came to the door and Sophie and Lola went crazy, as usual. When they left I noticed Sophie was whimpering and couldn't walk on her back foot. She tried to bite me when I touched it, so I was certain it was broken and she looked at me with those big brown eyes that seemed to be saying, "Please help me". I decided to take her to the Emergency Vet. When we got there she peed in the floor and there was blood in it. So now I'm really worried. They x-rayed her foot and it wasn't broken. Dollar signs chachinging as every minute passes. Dr. Whitworth does a free ultrasound on her bladder and says he sees something that looks like a tumor. He gave her pain pills, an antibiotic for a UTI, an anti-inflammatory for her foot and something to keep the meds from irritating her stomach. Luckily for me, she'll just eat all the pills. Now we have to go the vet and get her checked out. Pray that our Sophie will be okay!!!

I love these things....

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Sonnet XLIII From the Portuguese

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.

I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.

I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, -- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! -- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.
- Elizabeth Barrett Browning
